Victory in the Preliminaries!

So, after working through .6lbs of paperwork, a rejected visa request, and a lot of stress, I finally have my visa. I thought I would never get it in time! My family actually postponed the family vacation a day so we could get the Consulate in L.A. the paperwork required so that I would get my visa in time for my departure. While we were in California, we got a call from the guy who was house sitting for us, saying that there was a FedEx envelope... My parents had him open it and he said that my passport was in it and my parents immediately thought that they had rejected my visa request again. This caused a lot of tension and worry for the remainder of the trip, but there was really nothing we could do... So, we arrived home late last night to discover that my visa had already been granted... The paperwork was just more information I had to fill out while I am in France. Talk about a blessing! Just to put things in perspective, they say to allow 5 weeks for a visa application and I sent in my application a little over two weeks ago... Talk about fast! Thank you for your prayers! Hopefully the next stage of this process won't be as stressful...
